... In so far as Challenger, I believe they have and/or are selling •all• their fingerlings to Golden Ponds - 50,000 of them!

That was ex Tony @ Challenger and seconded by the crew at GP last weekend.

Barra at GP range from $1.50 (the size of spermatozoa) to $9 for plate size advanced yearlings...

Thanks BT mate I thought Tony owned GP if that is the same Tony I grabbed my silver Perch fingerlings from. Is there anywhere else in Perth besides GP? or is that it just them saw some guy in an earlier post but up at Bedfordale but want a bit smaller than 500g

Hmm - unsure about that. Tony @ Challenger is Tony Bart, whereas Tony @ GPs is Tony Pannachione. Or so I believe?!

But that does t help your plight for fish any, huh?!

cheers BT sorry for my confusion about the Tonys LOL. Is GP the only place then in Perth to get barra or does anyone get them sent down from up north?

Too much of a hassle with quarantine and health certification for most people to send to WA... unless it's a really big order....

Not sure about the weather at your place at the moment, but you cannot keep barra outdoors without a good sized heater at the moment. The water temperatures need to be at least 20degC.
