Hi i went to ballarat trout farm today and had a look at there breeding setup it looks fairly simple
How hard would for the backyard er to breed trout
What are the pitfalls

Did it have them running heaps of air through the egg tank?
I know with hatching Angel fish eggs, you can pull them out of the tank, put them in the breeding tank and have lots of air running over them. It stops any bactera etc until they hatch.
Probably not the same or as easy though :dontknow:

Would be interesting to do alright, but then probably the hardest bit is getting them through the early stages without extreme levels of losses...

I guess if it was really easy then more people would do it..
