I've had my 4th goldfish die today and am leaning towards the jade perch being responsible.

My tank readings are as follows: pH 7.6, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0 and Nitrate 0. The two remaining goldfish that I caught have what appears to be scale damage, they look like they are missing altogether.

The one jade fingerling that I managed to catch has no visible signs of scale damage, the jades sure move around fast when trying to net them. This makes me think they're fine.

Is there flaws in my theory of the jades being 'aggressive' I know the 'alpha' jade chases everything when I throw in the pellets.

Any thoughts are welcomed, any information I should add to make anything clearer?

LV, I had a goldfish that recovered from swim bladder problem so I put it back with my silver perch. It was a bit slow but appeared happy for a couple of weeks. One morning, the poor little bugger was floating on its side both eyes eaten out and flesh off around gills and it was still alive!!. I was really shocked that the perch did that. All the other Goldies are fine but I guess they saw a chance to attack a slower fish. I had to euthanase quickly.

All of my dead ones have had the eyes eaten out as well and bits missing around the gills as well. The jades have caught up to the goldies in size now and I figure they see the goldies as a potential opponent.

Yep My goldies are big enough now but I do notice the perch, also big now, are pushing the goldies out the way for food sometimes.
Before, the goldies would keep the perch away from the food. Hmmmm. 8 goldies to 40 growing perch I dont like the sound of those odds. Will have to keep perch fed well. Definately something to watch out for!

Gold fish will live in a cup of tea LV so your problem appears to be the perch knocking them around

Yup, Jades and Black Bream beat goldfish up once they reach a similar size.

I'm 99.99% sure it's the Jades, caught another sluggish goldfish this afternoon. Poor thing only had one eye had to kill it pretty quick. The lone goldfish is too elusive to catch.

Well it's nearly true, and that would be hilarious  but it is pretty hard to kill a gold fish, I have seen them in a smelly swamp, and the fact eyes are missing would suggest they are getting beat up
