My goldfish (comets) in the barra tank and growing like monsters - looks like they are obese from all the barra food going in the tank.... should I be concerned? |

I feed my goldies on high protein trout feed... and they bloated and died... |

hrm - ok, I guess I will chuck the goldies into the sump tank and feed em goldie food. |

We have fed goldfish in ponds barra crumble for years with no problems, (non AP ponds). In fishtanks we found it very easy to overfeed using barra crumble, so feed them a mix of goldfish flakes with some barra crumble and other pellets mixed with the flakes. We have some goldfish in some sump tanks in our new AP system which are being fed barra food, but being very careful not to over feed them. |

my real problem is that I have barra and comets in the same tank, so the goldies kinda scavange the barra food as it goes in the tank (they are still larger than the barra) and as such are getting fat. I think moving them will be the best way of dealing with this. Thanks Aj |
