To get ready for next year I'm going to get some fingerlings and grow them out in fish tanks inside. How long would I need to give them before they get to a big enough size to grow out in a season in Perth. I suspect if I get them now they will probably outgrow my fish tanks by next summer so I want to work out when to try and get some.

Toooo many variables ,, temps , food protein levels , even tank size etc.
Probably some good data out there in google land

depends on how much you feed them too.

If you get everything right:
Trout < 9 months
Silver Perch < 2 summers
Tandanus Catfish > 2 summers
I don't know about anything else

We are wondering the same thing JPCW. lol

Our tank is 2.5m round with a water depth of 800mm

Stocking the tank with 100 barra fingerlings.. & plan to feed them on
2mm pellets recomended by Golden Ponds.

These guys are our 1st experiment with edible fish.. lol
