From what ive read the Jades/barcoo grunters sound like the bomb in the tropics and i know silvers are a good fish if i want barra id rather catch one from an estuary that eat a farmed freshwater one but being human and all theres always that desire to know what else is an option Now ive seen Giant Gouramis on sale in Indonesia in Retsaurants they seem pretty popular ive also seen them in Aquarium shop display tanks, but never for sale im told they are available sometimes but the prices are high in australia. Something like 10x the price they are in the USA. but being vegetarians they interest me from the standpoint of algae/duckweed control and disposal of excess leafy greens in a productive way ![]() has anyone got a source? or have experience keeping or breeding them? other option would be Kissing Gourami also raised for food in Indo 20-25cm long ![]()
