My wife has a book called "Miracle Cures of the Bible" one of the interesting little tid bits that was in it was that indians used ground walnuts to catch fish. Seems that walnuts have a natural rest sedative quality when sprikled on the water the fish would eat them and then just relax under the surface of the water. Thought this might be of use when harvesting fishys.

Yep, can't say I've read about native Indians in nay of my bibkles.
Suggest he meant Bible of .......
Ahh , our aborigines used a similiar methos ,, bark off a certain tree , crush in water and water go's milky ,, add to pond and fish SLEEP.
A lot of live fish sellers use "clove oil" , yep the one that helps with tooth ache , it also makes fish relax.
Prevention is better than cure , so for me I'll have my growing in nets within the tank.

Sorry I will have to go back an read as to what context it was mentioned in. It mentioned it and refrenced that the american indians used it as well.
