Since adding 105 silvers to my 1500 lt tank, I have noticed some interesting 'fish dynamics'.
I previously cycled the system for 2 months with around 30, 100mm goldies and removed all but three (couldn't catch the buggars).
As soon as the SP's (@ around 40 mm long) were added, the 3 big goldies seemed to be intimidated and retreated to the 90 pvc pipe offcuts laying on the bottom.
Two months later, they are still scared and hide while the SP's rush the food, so I rarely see the goldies. I can only assume they eat the leftovers later on.
The good news is that the SP's are thriving (now average 50 mm) with no losses at all.
Stu & Daniel obviously breed healthy fish with attitude as well.
