Silver perch taste great and are good as a first aquaponic fish. Very easy to look after. Main downside is that they're relatively slow growing. Trout are popular in your part of the world. A bit trickier to look after. And too hot at the height of summer. But they grow so fast that they'll be eaten before the heat becomes a problem. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk |

Hi, also in Melbourne, used to have a system when I lived in emerald and can confirm rainbow trout are awesome, except things get exciting exciting if you haven't eaten them all by the time the heat waves begin, especially when days are 30+ degrees C and nights are >25 degrees. |
