I was wondering if anyone in Brisbane or South East Queensland for that matter has had any success getting a permit to bring Rainbow Trout in and grow them in their Aquaponics system? I have a large rain water tank that is underground and the water is very cold and have been thinking about using that to grow some Trout. I would probably have to put a small light under the lid with a timer and an aerator in as well, and probably a pump and filter but my brains got this idea and I'm running with it. I would probably have to fish for them with a hook and bait as its really deep no natural light can enter but I have an access hatch in the floor of my house to get to it. Your thoughts?
