Having alot of trouble finding a reliable FCR for Koi so i can calculate my daily feed rates and predict biomass over time. Anyone know where i can find some reliable info?

I'm afraid not, but that's going to be difficult to find, and possibly not even well established, as they are not farmed for food of course, and maximum growth from minimum feed is not a concern for koi keepers.

FCR will depend upon;

1 )water temperature
2) fish species
3) size of fish
4) quality of food

For good growth conditions i.e. 20 - 25°C, 100-1000g fish with a quality diet I would expect the FCR to be in the 1.5 - 1.8 range.

Outside this range it could be anything!

For exceptional conditions with small fish I have recorded FCR's of below 1.0.

Personally I would determine the feed rate by observing the fish. i.e. how much will they eat in 2 minutes. the number of feeds should be spread throughout the day and invariably requires an automatic feeder.

Koi are unlikely to consume 1%BWD in a single feeding.
Hope that helps.
