Post subject:  Getting a tutor for my fish!

Well, it has been a week, and my wild caught fish are not eating as much as I think they should be. They just don't see the pellets and other goodies I put in there as food, except for the worms, which they eat right away. Given how long it takes for bluegill to reach maturity, I don't want to give up on catching them from the farm pond. Soooooo.....Saturday the fish man comes to town, to sell bulk fish for pond stocking purposes. The tank raised fish, are already eating pellets, so I am putting my wild fish into remedial eating classes (in fish school, yuck, yuck, yuck), hoping that when they see the new fish chowing down, they will get the idea. I sure hope it works!

Its a good idea BB, I keep a couple of goldfish for this very purpose for new purchases...doesn't take too long before there is a big battle for the food...good way to introduce fish to a different food source and settle them in :wink:
