Hi,

I looked in my tank yesterday and one of my 3 Barra was dead.
The other two look sluggish and unwell. They seem to have some white spots/patches on them.

I tested the water and the ammonia was higher than normal at 0.50 ppm. Everything else was normal.

The white is on the top fin, a bit on the head and side near the gills.

I am reading around and think salt may be the best course of action???

yes - get some salt in there. If none in there at present you will need quite a bit.
And air bubbles.

You will need to save their life.
What is your water temperature?
Sometimes I think they do not like the cold.
In Broome it should be okay though.
Check nitrates?
