if you have the grow beds to keep the water clean and the conditions for the fish are good. You would find in practice though that, yes you can have too many. You would find it difficult to filter enough. |

You can't get the lid on the can .... The Fisheries officier starts writing out tickets .... The RSPCA issues you a summons .... You have daily deliveries from Grobest.... The EPA isssues you with a pollution notice .... The local council summons you due to neighbours complaints about the smell .... Your address is home to 13,000 cats ....

they have enough population to evolve into sentient beings , grow legs , and put YOU in the tank to harvest your waste to grow duckweed ? The way I'd tell , if I thought I had too many , was that my stomach was making a funny noise and I hadnt eaten for a while |

Basically, if the water quality can't be kept good, then you either have too many fish or the other side of the coin, you need more filter/grow bed capacity. |
