Got a question for anyone who knows the answer: When would be the best time to purchase trout fingerlings in South Australia? DISCLAIMER! I'm not looking to purchase them as my system is only a few weeks old just curious when it starts here. |

I'm in the same boat, picked up 1doz rainbows 6-7" today from Tooperang, hopefully they'll grow to a decent size before water temps increase, will be creating shade over FT this winter in prep for spring, have a thick slab of foam/eco wall 75mm expanded polystyrene that I've fashioned into a lid and have clad the FT IBC cage in corro, hopefully be able to extend grow out time. First year so will see how it all goes. |

If your climate is similar to Perth, I know that troutman has been busy selling trout, he had his carpark sale down at Cheidy's 2 or 3 weeks ago. You really need to monitor your system temps to get a good idea when you can stock to suit your local area. |
