Have a silver perch that is heavily bloated. Has been this way for about a week or so now. Swims okay, but has been getting slower and slower. Separated from the rest of the fish now, hoping there is some way I can treat it. Can anyone help with this please? |

Doubt anyone will be able to tell you whats going on with this short of an autopsy or sending it to a lab. Might be something like dropsy or cancer but who knows . Looks pretty healthy otherwise.

I wish I was this fish. It is dead now. |

Sorry to hear that the fish died, keep in mind that this one might have died without your actually having done anything to hasten it's death. If you still have it see if you can figure out what happened, maybe you'll help someone else later on so you'll turn this into a more positive experience. |

Thanks Scotty. It's below seemed to be quite soft to touch, almost like it was bloated with water. Didn't have time to dissect it properly, although I did notice when I dropped it into its hole to bury it, it kind of popped a little and clear liquid came out. Strange |
