A question for the folks in the US

Has anyone thought of or has successfully grown and harvested Snakeheads?
Is it illegal in some states to keep and breed snakeheads commercially/domestically?
I have heard that in the US these fish are a pest that has been introduced by people who have purposely smuggled them in and released them into local waterways for whatever reason!
I’ve also heard that they are quite good eating......Is that true?

Never even heard of snakeheads before now... but Michigan has it on it's invasive species/banned list even though they haven't made it this far yet... hopefully that don't make it this far from the look of them! We have enough invasive species putting the hurt on our native fish.

By the look of them eating a Rattle Snake or road kill would be tastier, why would bother keeping them :dontknow:
