She was pregnant last month (I got them doing the deed on video!!). He was such a jerk his whole life and none of her broods came to fruition that I decided his time had come. We ate him while she had her last batch, but still no babies.

She's been alone with a pleco for 4 weeks now. She behaved completely different. No more hiding in the pipes and always hungry.

I was shocked today to see that she is tumbling eggs again! Why would she do this without a male around?!?

I'm not a Tilapia grower so I'm not sure but I would think she would have eggs, they just won't get fertilized so she'll just spit them out or ingest them.
