| Post subject: | Where to purchase fish in Washington state? |
Recently moved to Washington state and am setting up my aquaponic system. I am looking for someone that sells fish/fry/eggs - tilapia, trout, or salmon. I've mostly worked with tilapia but want to spread out and try other fish. Aquaponics doesn't seem to be popular in Eastern Washington, of course it's all farm country so it's a bit understandable. I'm looking for about 50 fingerlings for my system - the place I did find in Olympia sells with an order of $500 or more and that is too many fish for my small set up. Know of any places that I can go pick up or have shipped? I appreciate your help. |

This is where you need to start - http://wdfw.wa.gov/licensing/fish_transport/stocking_app.html one of the links off of that is a pdf list of places that sell fish - http://wdfw.wa.gov/licensing/fish_transport/certified_growers_2014.pdf I'm not sure about all the regs in Washington but hopefully this is what you want. |
