It's interesting that I added a few Koi fingerlings to my SP tanks..
Added similar size Koi to the two tanks.. ie fingerlings with fingerlings.. larger with the more mature..
The larger ones were initially scared by the swirling seething mass of foreigners, and thus they stayed near the surface, swimming at an angle watching down..
After 48hrs, they are still on the surface AND the silvers are up there too.. the silvers have learnt that the Koi are OK at the surface, and so perhaps all is actuality safe there..
The smaller fingerlings just melded into the mass of their mob from the start, but again, after 48hrs, I can approach the tank and they are all near the surface..
It has been an interesting experiment and it will be great if I can report even better conditioning, with time..
SILVERS can be a.small disappointment, due to their natural timid nature...
