I've got a large jacuzzi / hot tub tank as part of my AP system and due to space constraints, I want to get rid of it. However it's housing a single Tilapia that the LFS pawned off on me when I bought other stuff from them. I can't keep the water temps up high enough because my system is outside and I've noticed that my tilapia has started to show signs of stress or disease. So I figure it's better to just turn him into dinner... The question though, is he too diseased to eat? He is still alive. See the video: And a side question: what's the best way to prepare a tilapia? I have a charcoal/wood smoker, I was thinking of smoking him whole. |

Cooked through, you will kill any pathogenic organisms so it's safe to eat. |

Looks good to eat taste may be less intense. But health wise should be good. Just throw some lemon on it. |
