There are long lines of poop hanging from my Blue Tilapia? Is this normal? Also i switched feeds and they refuse to eat the new food. I was feeding them flakes and i switched to pellets they wont eat it? It fists in their mouths but they spit it back up. |

The hanging poop, my goldfish do it too. It's a little gross, but I wouldn't worry about it. With the new food, train them onto it, give it with a bit of the old food at the same time, and reduce the old food, and increase the new food. They should swap over then. Sometimes they get stubborn with new food. |

It could be some sort of contamination. In salmon and trout it's a sign of poisoning. In goldfish a sign of over feeding. If it is a lighter color than usual and most fish show the same then I'd suspect some water issues. Have you done recent changes? |
