I thought that you would find this bit of information interesting. The state of Missouri declared fish to be livestock! What this means is that the state Department of Revenue can no longer collect sales taxes on the sale of live fish. Previously the state had used an intended use test to decide whether or not to collect sales taxes. (If the fish were for ornamental or recreational purposes they were taxed. This included fish stocked into a private pond or lake for fishing. But fish that were sold for propogation or rearing for marketing were exempted.) Now, all live fish are exempted, irregardless of intended use.
