Just went down to feed my fish and one of the trout flew about 2' accross the tank about 1.5' in the air and very narrowly missed my head.

I might have to start wearing my chainsaw helmet in the GH.

Over here in the states (maybe y'all have them too) we have large grass carp that fly out of water when you're driving your boat down the river. They can get about 3' long and weigh about 20-30 lbs. Imaging being hit by one of them when your going wide open. They've been known to hurt some people pretty bad. A chainsaw helmet may be just the cure. ;)

I've seen video footage and a guy nearly getting taken out of a boat by one of them on the Mississippi. I don't think he needed stiches but he did have a bit of blood streaming down his face.

A lot of the boats have nets around there sides to prevent this from happening.

Maybe you've got a 10 pounder in the tank that you forgot to harvest a few years ago Stu... get the baitcaster out!

I saw those on River Monsters and my son was in hysterics. I couldn't help but giggle too. Don't know how funny it would be if you actually copped one to the guts though! Maybe your trout is from an American bloodline stu? ;-)

That is one way to knock your fish unconscious before you dispatch it. Remind me to NOT go fishing with that guy.

This reminds me of a story a caller told to a radio show.
Apparently his mate slapped him upside the head with a fish. Either for a dare on a fishing trip or a buck's night prank from memory?

Turns out it's a bad idea to use a catfish...
The barb embedded in his head and a trip to the hospital with a fish attached to his skull ensued.
Or so the story went.
