Can anyone see any problems in setting up a blue barrel with an aquarium filter and heater to over winter 25 jades in Newcastle, Nsw? |

Answers Required Length and weight of fish How many litres will be in the barrel What temperature are you aiming for What water temperature to you get in a outside system Have you a system already set up out side. Short answer if only fingerlings would be yes but you would have to do partial water changes. You would also be best to set up a water reserve with a air-stone in it and adjusted to your FT PH |

yeah I meant to write they are just small fingerlings sorry about how vague that was. I think the barrel might be 200 L. its a system in a hoop house that's been going for about 4 months. Got 18 silvers in it but was after something that grows a bit quicker when it warms up. I just keep reading they are only available in the first half of the year so I was thinking with an aquarium heater and a filter just to get them through until the FT warms up in Spring. |

want to keep it over 20C for them it will be sitting in the hoop house but have got heaps of insulation that I can wrap the barrel in. |
