Can anyone help me find a company in Georgia where I can get fingerlings? I'm not having much luck finding a fish farm where I can buy small (lots of 50) quantities of fingerlings. Most of the fish farms I have found are mainly for large ponds where they deliver thousands of fingerlings.

I have found a couple sites on the internet but the prices are very high (one site had 18 catfish for $200, shipping included) or pickup is in person only. Arrgghhh. Maybe I just suck at finding the right places and should just stick to goldfish.

this might help

http://www.georgiawildlife.com/node/900

but if pickup in person is not an option, it is costly to ship fish.

Thanks Ralath but the quantities from the Georgia DNR are for ponds. They don't offer smaller lots of fingerlings.

I just ordered tilapia fingerlings from http://www.babybluetilapia.com

Ordered 100, got 113 healthy and one floater. I'll definitely go back if I ever order more. I think she is from Florida.

Have you checked Craig's List? Small local breeders seem to list on there (at least here in FL)
