They have to cover their overheads. Just remember that they have probably killed 19 of every 20 fish they purchased |

Try totally tanked Maddington .... sometimes they have poor coloured goldfish for about 2 dollars or so each. At the Koi place on Armadale road you can get small koi for $ 2.50 or so. |

A lot of the fish shops sell the poorly coloured as feeder fish. That's where I got mine for cycling and they have all since turned into beautiful fish. |

cheapest is not always the best option imo. in the future i will only purchase stock from suppliers who bother to quarranteen them. i don't mind paying a little extra for the peace of mind. you could loose all of them in a week if diseased. not worth the hassle. |

Just some feed back onm y experience with the canning vale markets fish place. They were really good. i don't know if they were what you could term poorly coloured or not, but they certainly seem bright and colourful to me. It's 8 days later and all my fish are still alive and swimming around happily. All their fish looked really healthy and the woman at the stall knew her stuff. i got 5, 5cm long goldfish for $10. seems pretty decent price to me, i'd certainly go back and buy more from her, you can get 12 for $20. |
