So does anyone know of a supplier of pangasius fingerlings in the USA? My searches have come up dry. |

My searches came back with no suppliers  I did notice that they could have made it into the aquarium fish trade initially so you might try there under freshwater hammerhead shark. Doubt you'll find them but it's possible Might not be legal but I didn't check on this. |

The only place that I found to have them is petsmart as aquarium fish but they are like $4 a fish!!! |

Oddly, I just got back from PetSmart and was going to let you know they have them. They aren't cheap but they have to get them from somewhere. Maybe you can locate the supplier and get them at a better price. You could also breed your own if they aren't too tough to breed. Might not be worth it if they can't handle your temps though (If you're growing inside that changes things of course). |

https://www.google.com/search?q=iridesc ... =620&dpr=1 also look at tropical fish wholesalers, most wont sell to you but some will if you buy enough. Find a local ma and pa store and make a deal with them to bring in a couple dozen extra for you on there next shipment. Wholesale on these fish is usually less than $1.00 each. You may also want a couple of Pacu, they grow fast, are vegetarians by nature, yet will eat anything in reality. They are rather tasty from what I understand. Depending on the species of Pacu they can reach anywhere from 30 to over 100 pounds. http://www.segrestfarms.com/ |
