Where you getting them from Beeso? When would you want to do away with the 50 - from the start or a bit down the track?

Have you given these people a try Beeso
Sunland Freshwater Fish Hatchery (07) 54853144 (Gwen)

Forest has been using them and I am going to give them a try -but want to have a go at barra next - SP a lot cheaper than others

Didn't realise SEQ were out of fish altogether. I probably won't be ready with my big system till Sept October anyway - so will wait till then. I'm sure someone will be up for a purchase though Beeso.

I would consider getting 50 if they are advanced size die to the lateness in the season.

Beeso its unfortunate, Derek and forest got SP recently - could have added to their orders
Almost talked myself into helping out if no-one else steps forward (or share with someone else) - we in Brisbane need to get ourselves more organised each year both with fish and feed

I want to get a load of barra (when avail), give them a month to settle in and move them to the big tank, than get a batch of SP/jades and hold them in the sump tank til the barra are eaten

When do you think the Barra will be available Les?

Post subject:

As soon as I have a few more grow beds setup and the new tank hooked in, I will be ringing a few places to get an idea of availability and when - working on gathering info from fish farms end of July, gives me some time to work on a solar heater thingy as well.

Will then closely monitor water temps - will keep the forum posted

If it's no earlier than that then I'll definitely be in for some Les.
