Hi All

Where are you getting your fish from? I'd like perch, perhaps 25 to start. I can't find any place with reasonable prices.

I live in St. Louis.

Thanks so much!

The closest for you might be New York... or Florida... and I think there's a place up in Minnesota.

As to the price... the fewer, the higher the price per fingerling... You could run with goldfish until you see something reasonable...

And in cruising my links... I found this one I'd forgotten...
I think they are in the mid-west ish...

I can't remember, precisely.

However, also look at your local 'extension service' for the rule book before you ship fish over state lines. Some days, it can get unpleasant.

http://www.northstarfishhatchery.com/ht ... cking.html Or I know there are quite a few in Nebraska from the looks of in no one in missouri raises perch which means if you wanna sell your fish you have to get papers for them. The way I have had the best luck is googling fish farms because I will be honest most of them dont have websites but give them a call and they can be a huge help. Hope that helps!!

I got bluegill from these folks to the south of you. They had several other kinds, as well.

Huh...
When I used your link, it worked... when I copied and pasted, no.

I try not to use the links, so I stay on the BYAP page.
Looks like a lovely place. There are a couple in Northern Nevada... and I'm going to look for both the ... um, drat. it is a trout... but one I hadn't heard of till I discovered it is native to Nevada, and doesn't mind some heat. I still need to keep it cooler than what the tilapia will tolerate, but with a local fish, I don't have to do an import license.
