Post subject:  moving fish to a new pond

I'm going to be filling in the koi pond soon and moving the fish to an above ground AP pond. a few of the fish seem to have some patches of fungal on them so i'm thinking this is the right time to treat it.

how should i approach this? separate the fish with issues, or treat them all?

how can i move them with the least amount of stress, some of these fish are almost 50cm. I have a 200L tub and an air pump i could use to keep them in for a short term dip treatment.

I'd treat them all while you have the chance... ... even if you have to do them, and move them... one by one...

that is 1ppt isn't it ?
1ppt = 1kg in 1000L
1ppt = 100g in 100L
10ppt = 1kg in 100L

unless of course my brain exploded..

Correct.

200g for your 200L to make 10ppt. Maybe go about 150-180g cause Im sure you wouldnt have the full 200L. :thumbleft:

Its not exact science and you cant really go wrong. You just want to shock the fungal disease and kick it in the butt.

You need 2kg to get 200ltrs to 10ppt..

a 20-25kg bag of pool salt is the best bet.. $7-8 from kmart or B or the local pool shop..
