Hi,

I'm pretty fussy when it comes to fish, so long as they aren't boney then I'm happy!

Can anyone suggest any good fleshy fish to grow in WA, with minimal bones? If not I'll just have to go back to my mums and get her to take the bones out for me

Trout have lots of really fine bones but if you bake or smoke them whole you can usually just flip the flesh up away from the body leaving all the bones behind attached to the spine.

Grow tabbies, marron or gilgies, they only have one bone, right around the outside! And they taste better than fish too

Guessing tabbies have lots of small bones.
Seriously, my wife found her way around a whole trout tonight and she is hopless with fish. So trout are easy to bone after cooking, as the bones stick well to the backbone when peeling the flesh off.

The tabbies are just the bait fo the marron, you don't actually eat them.
