Post subject:  I need a tilapia fingerling supplier in Sonoma County, CA

Hi there, I am new here and very excited to be joining, I have begun building of my system. I am looking to connect with someone in my area, Healdsburg, CA for my first fish. I am considering ordering some organic crumble feed to get them started then Duckweed after that. I have a little Duck weed started in small containers. How much should I have on hand when I start? I feel like it should be alot more. Also I have a test kit on the way to check water quality to get the grow beds readya and make sure the fish have good water quality throughout. If you can give me any advice about where to get fish other than bringing them in from out of state I would love it. Thanks, Erin

Post subject:  Re: Organic fingerling supplier or organic fish crumble reci

Hi,

Was wondering if you had success with the organic fish crumble. I understand its non existent. You'd have to make your own-- high fat, hight protein, easily digestible, floats for a bit.

Have you tried this out or anyone else? To my knowledge fingerlings are fed the crumble from GMO sources.
I guess we have to settle for fingerlings that are tainted, unless you have found a supplier SOMEWHERE.
Anybody know?
