I mentioned to mt daughter that maybe a guy in a shiny black wetsuit might look like a seal to a hungry shark, but she asked

It varies somewhat between species (some can see green for instance) but generally no, they see in shades of grey.

I'd imagine seeing in colour is of little advantage in the environments they inhabit, plus they have the advantage of keen chemo (eg: blood) and electro (electrical signals created by an organisms movements) reception.

i thought there were 256 shades of gray... on the gray scale.... :D
