I wouldn't bother... if the trout think anything else will fit into their mouths... they'll try and eat it....
Otherwise, with the trout being such aggressive feeders... the other fish will be lucky to get any sustanance anyway.... and combined with a lower metabolism due to cold water temps... the other fish will become weakened....

The Bass still wont grow much faster.. even on their own...
In the wild... a 1-1.5kg Bass... is at least 4-6 years old...
