Lots of big goldfish in Adelaide's northern rivers. They are quite active at this time of the year. The one in the photo is from the Broughton River. Caught on a #14 chironomid pattern.

the only thing i have seen down there is ducks and large amounts of their poo... that and teens trying to make out on that gazebo thing.
My wife who has grown up around here says it dries up sometimes... i still might go have a look tho sounds interesting.

It might've when it was Emu swamp, but that was about thirty years ago. I've been living in the area twelve years and I haven't seen it dry up... I've seen it turn baby sh!t green one summer!... the shire needs to introduce some kind of large, nasty fish species that eats ducks!... Murray cod would be nice! :lol:
