its no problem having marron in with Trout/Barra but if your not going eat the fish do silvers as trout and barra are seasonal and will die if not harvested |

I'm not too sure about having anything that the barra can fit in their mouth and they have big mouths, especially when the marron lose their shells they are easy prey. If the trout are bigger than marron they'd probably be okay, but I have heard of the marron eating small trout! Catch and release - mmm hope that you are not thinking local waterways, and transferring fish around the place is not okay, there are regulations and they are specific to your area. Perhaps you need to check the fisheries regulations! |

I think trout sleep on the bottom of the tank at night and marron are quite active at night making the trout easy prey. I'd say the barra would scoff the marron pretty quickly as soon as they are big enough. |

barra and trout are also only suitable for 6months of the year here in perth, so you either eat them or they will die when the temps get out of their ranges anyway. |

If you wont be eating the fish put some carp or coi in there, they will be fine with marron and they will tollerent to temp swings. |
