hello nicky

what is the cubic foot area of your grow beds?

the average rule of thumb is 1 lb of fish (grown out) to 1 cubic foot of bio media (grow beds)

have any pictures?

looks like you have about 3.34 cubic feet per growbed

so 6.68 cubic feet of bio-filter.... 6 fish at 1lb would be the max stocking level, but I would do
4-5 fish if the system isn't mature

I hope you have a bigger pond to place the KOI in..

If they get enough food they can put on anywhere from 3-8" of growth in a growing season..
They might be a bit cramped for such a small volume of water..

Also make sure you have enough GB volume to give very good filtration.. they are also a good cannery fish for problem in the water.. in other words they are sensitive to water changes especially pH..

for a 55 gal system stick to a full gold fish system..
Koi can out grow a small system[Micro system]..
