I do a fish run all the time Zman... indeed I'm probably heading up to the Newcastle area not this weekend, but the next...

DrLuke... apart from the website being woefully out of date... there has been a lot of interest in Jade Perch for this summer... but the floods last summer wiped out a lot of stock... and there are no "over-wintered" Jade Perch available...

First of the new season spawn isn't expected until about early Dec, or Xmas... and they'll be small accordingly...

Are Jades as oily as I have heard?
Or not as much in an AP system?

They're the highest omega-3 fish in the world... and carry a large fat deposit...

Makes them good for BBQ'ing, frying, smoking... self basting...

Well if I had known everyone was keen for advanced Jade stock I would have loaded a few thousand for my drive down the south coast. We just put 4000 out to the dam.... Oh well.

Yeah no worries John. I won't have time for this trip, heading out in a few hours. I do have to come back down for the open day on the new system we are building around late January. We can look at it then.

I was interested in getting some advanced Jade's, but when I put my inquiry through the earthen group website as requested a couple of months back, I heard nothing back for weeks and then 2 weird things happened. First I got some sort of automated email saying Paul was going to be up North for months and then I got another general email about membership or something :dontknow:

Bugger. I wanted something fast growing for my first batch of fish so that my wife doesn't loose faith :thumbleft:. Thought Jades or Bara.

Oh well, maybe Silvers will do me till trout season. I'll call you when my big system is closer to completion anyway. At the moment its slow going :( .
