Well dying has definately stopped now and as a result my system is back to where it was before I worried about not enough flow through GBs.
As a rule of thumb I guess for future reference I guess if your standpipes from purchased BYAP as standard setup, are just coping with water coming from FT then you have sufficent flow through GB., especially if your running continuous flow.
Just something I was musing about as I glued my pipe connections today, (stop any knee jerk fidling if I can just pull pipes apart), Plus almost had HSM the other day as I heard something going slurp slurp only to find my fish swimming in about 150mm of water and pump nearly running dry, luckily pump and fish both survived, cause was pipe to GB had fallen of and hence almost pumped FT dry. hence glueing today.

Good to hear the fish deaths have stopped.
