Jades are coming along nicely in the shed. They would be 100mm now and are fed sparingly twice a day. Vid is not good with all the reflections because of the black foam on the back of the tank

Its a 200L tank with a 200w aquarium heater. They will be in there for some months yet till the AP system gets up to at least 15C

what temp are you running? and I'm a bit confused since there is a video of you having some in the tank then a more recent post saying your jades have arrived.... Did you lose the first lot or just adding more? How many are you running in that aquarium?

Also milne you mentioned slacked lime/brickies lime, but don't use the other stuff... what other stuff are you talking about I just bought hydrated lime/brickies lime is that the right stuff.

"Slaked" or "hydrated lime"... also known as "brickies lime"... is Calcium Hydroxide... and a powerful pH buffer.... a palmful in 1000L will move your pH about 0.2-0.4 points... depending on your palm size... :D

have been adding about a tablespoon every day for the last 3 days but not moving yet. Will be adding a bit more now that I know I'm using the right stuff.

Rup... I have an IBC system consisting of 2 full FT and 2half ST's, My PH must be well bellow 6 at the moment since I dumped in a small handfull in the sump tonight, stirred and tested the water immediately it it was only just showing above 6. Rest of the system is showing 6 (but probably lower)
This could have also impacted on my SP deaths recently I am guessing.
Sorry mantis didn't mean to hijack...........
