Not sure what kind, in the northwest there's not as big of a market for crays as say, Louisiana, but you can usually find em somewhere.

was aware of it from the Govt side but up till now it had/has not really been enforced for small lots.
Was mainly being applied to commercial quantites and re-sellers.
[edit - the thread covers it pretty well, albeit to late 2014]

the 'Yabby industry' in the Wheatbelt farming districts is the only reason Yabbies are not a declared pest in WA. It was mooted a while ago - and resulted in the south-west restricted zone being the compromise outcome.

It also applies now to all seed under WA quarantine - [for while now] only certified seed can be posted/shipped into WA. With [potential] fines for both sender and recipient. Commercial people like Diggers etc with certification charge extra. That is one that has caught a lot of home gardeners out [and still does].

Yer I know Gavin, I've brought trout off him a few times now,
The translocation form is up to yourself to get an provide if stopped by fisheries ect.
Gavin simply warns of the conditions when buying fish u should have one, but it's not policed at his end as it's not his job to police it...

But when I put marron in my tank I probably won't be buying them, I'm to cheap for that lol.
I get plenty of marron in season and I'm sure a couple wouldn't mind missing the pot
