OK well here is rather poor attempt, but it is the first out of the tank as it was crook and hand caught, so thought i would post it anyways.

Weighing it at a massive 180g, hahahaha

I am trying to feed up the rest of the tank to get some decent growth out of them but have had a few issues with Ph, through the winter.

We had a planeed power outage today so I used the time to harvest and smoke a dozen trout. The power came on in time to vac pack them

Image size is fine Faye. What type of smoker do you have? Looks like mine but bigger.

Thanks

Aah it's our 7th season Charlie. Time flies when you're having fun. :)
Mine is a Sunbeam Foodsaver, seems okay I haven't tried any others.

Mines a Sunbeam as well and works good. Just make sure the seal line is dry

Thank you very much, Grumpytrout: now I can relax with the knowledge that my trout aren't the smallest of anyone's for 2013!

Even though they're small I'm happy for 3 reasons.

1. They make me nostalgic for when I used to catch trout as a kid using a chicken wire net and kicking under tree roots

2. I grew them myself in my backyard

3. They were amazingly tasty

Maybe next year Rupe won't sell me runts and I'll get bigger ones :P Also I haven't harvested them all yet I still have 24 left in the tanks. Hopefully they have another 2 weeks or so in them although it's time to get SP and I am overstocked as it is as I haven't brought my 3rd growbed online.

C'mon Rupe, dont you keep the biggest and best ones for yourself like I do.
I always sell all my runts to PLJ, though of course he is none the wiser to this.
