Hum, never thought about fish ethics before.. I'm getting real learned round these here parts...
I'm just a simple southern girl. My daddy the colonel always said kill what cha catch...
Either deer, hog or fish... Course that was wild caught..
So I've always just put the fish on ice to slow down and cleaned them..
Hopefully I won't name my fish. I could see that getting harder to do if so.

I found that to be quite nauseating. I am more than happy to kill an animal to eat it, but deep frying the body so the head is twitching is wrong...

Poor guy... Guess fermented fish guts would be a no go for him... That's worse than blood bait.. Especially in Texas heat..

One thing I saw on YouTube that was pretty bad was people fileting their fish then throwing them back in the water alive (not even putting them on ice or anything before fileting either). They were trying to swim around and stuff not realizing they were as good as dead already.
Pretty sh*tty imo.

OK I'm a hunter/fisher but the image of that made me kinda nauseous... I do believe in humanly finishing them off.

Sorry I know this a serios subject but it reminded me of a fishing trip I did years ago.
Took a bloke from work fishing that had never done any of it before.

We got out on the bay without a lot of bait, the plan was to catch a couple of fish for bait first.

After catching them It soon became apparent that I had left my knifes at home. so I proceded to tare them apart still kicking, and pulled them to bits and offered him a couple of nice fresh baits.

Poor chap was to busy hanging over the side throwing his breakfast to the ocean to do any fishing that morning, I guess it must have some thing he had eaten...

Oooops my bad, I was laughing at this one
