Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get some Black Bream Fingerlings in Victoria. I've neglected my AP system a little over winter (due to the lack of not getting a greenhouse up, and Ballarat turning into a frozen waste land :P) but not it's back in full swing I want to swap my reddies out for something with more growth potential, as I've seen very poor growth from the reddies over the last year.

Cheers,

Kenny.

Does black bream grow fast, I thought they were slow growers. I've got silver and they grow even without feeding them.

Black bream are slow, but they have sooo much more charisma than silvers.

If you do get them, feed straight away - any time without food = cannibalism.

I probably would be happy with silvers, haven't had any luck sourcing them either. Just thought I would try something different, and black bream seem like they would be great :)

At this stage I don't really mind if it's Black Bream or Silver Perch, just need something in the system :) Does anyone have a reliable source of fingerling's for this year? I've tried Wartook, but no response, email and voice mail.

Hi Ken.
I'm setting up my system (fully enclosed hot house, 5000Lt tank, 5 grow beds) in Ballarat at the moment and would like to get in touch and draw on some of your experience. If this is OK can you give me a contact number. Steve.
