But I get what you are saying aboiut those goldfish - my sister tried to assasinate her one for ages - you could not even see it in its pea-soup like water... eventually her daughter killed the poor thing off (added soap to the tank to "wash" fishie :shock:)

Yes pleco will graze body slime on fish if they have a protein craving. I usually feed them a bit of prawn on a fork when I notice them.
However I would ensure none of the smaller goldfish are being sucked onto out-takes or filter pumps. While stuck there a pleco can do a lot of damage grazing.
Goldfish are usually ok together although it def pays to seperate them by size. Most of the time aggression is merely foreplay for the big spring spawn

I had a pump malfunction and chew half my goldfish into headless things.... the heads were nowhere to be found. I could not help but laugh as I was boggled as to where the heads went... RECYCLED!!! I guess?
