Yep they seem happy as long as its not huge discharges that would make the city mad.

And given it will only be about 1100 gallons I am not too worried. I could dump all that down the drain and it would only be 1/6th increase in water being downed the torlet.

A quick read/google brings up a cichlid (closely related to a talapia, I would have thought) native to the Rio Grande....

"Rio Grande Perch"..... apparantly not vegetarian like talapia.... don't know if they're edible??

No idea mate.. The Fish and Game dude said that there is catfish and minnows.. Prize fish I say /barf

Note: I cannot stand catfish I think it tastes horrible.

like avocadoes without lemon, pepper, salt, chilli and spread on toast.
IMHO.
Mind you Swan river cobbler were joy about 20 years ago, but then again so were the bream and prawns, mulloway, blue swimmers, wouldn't go near them now-well unless I wanted to cure something really bad, like a second head!
