Ok guys. I am looking for a fish to raise for the whole year. I am from Louisiana so I am lucky enough that it gets really cold here in feb and march but for the rest of the year it nice and hot. So what would be the best fish to raise is it cat or brim since both are native to this area. I am just looking for yalls input.
I am looking to breed them also so I can have my own stock at all times

Probably catfish would be the best because they grow faster. Lot of catfish production in your type of climate. I know some people do a bit of each but the brim will grow quite a bit slower and will gain less weight per pound of food they are fed. I'm growing mostly brim (bluegills in this case) with some channel cats but the cats don't do as well in the cooler climate of the pacific northwest.
