Hi, I considering a modest starter aquaponics system (maybe 150 gallons with stock tank and barrel sump) and am trying to find a good source of fish before I get started. I am mainly interested in carp of some kind as it will be an outdoors system and they have a very wide temperature range. Does anyone know how I can obtain carp in South Carolina (york county)? I think some grass carp would be great, if possible. Non-sterile if anyone sells them down here (are non-sterile grass carp legal in SC?).

Thanks for any help.

I just use Koi ..... they can stand cold or hot water....

last winter my outdoor system froze over completely, except for where the air stones were
Koi were fine..

plus when they get big enough, you can sell them to people with backyard fish ponds
