This is what can happen, and so easily too.... My dead Barra from last year, thought I would post it as a reminder for people to be careful with their fish... It's all very well posting nice pics, gotta mix in the bad side as well..

Yuck, I'm hoping that vision sticks in my head so I can take my time and not rush to get fish. I see no need to set a kill record so im taking it slow while I learn.

Cold wasn't it Joel? I had a fish dying from cold brought it inside it kept going upside down I wedged it between rocks where it sat upright and sat up all night 'correcting' it till it had equilibrium again.

You survive two winters, you get to thinking it doesn't get that cold...

Would have been impossible to save so many.

After 6 months of barely keeping them alive over winter they ended up getting white spot.. Within a few days they all went blind and died..... A sorry tale.... I could have treated them if I found it in timewith some salt and dilute treatment that was mentioned once before, but I was too slow... :(

That sight was to close to one I may have had yesterday. I was so busy with the ministry yesterday and while I was away a friend wanted to help by redoing my wiring. He really did not know as much as he said, and instead of giving me a good line he set me up with 220, not 110. He blew up all my pumps. Had my husband not said, your friend said one of your pumps quite, I may not have gone out to look. Everything fried. So thanks to Wal*Mart, open 24 hrs. I had enough air going to get them through until this morning. Good side, I lost no fish and had to go ahead with plans of the right pump size and plumbing. I've never done plumbing before and am pretty happy with myself tonight. So I missed reading new posts last night and get to say the Happy Birthdays today.

OUCH. Just what every one needs, a dodgy sparky..........so you have 110 and 220 there joyce? i always thought it was just 100. or is 220 the equivalent of our 3 phase 415? Answer not needed, i'm just thinking aloud :)

I used to see the aftermath of quite a frew instruments on the bench after someone decided to connect them across L1 & L2 (415V) ! Nasty :)

Best ones were the ones that had been water damaged and stopped working, i mean the obvious thing to do when testing an instrument is to power it up. BANG. Got used to it after a while. I miss being on the bench, lots of laughs, often it was the person sitting next me working live that would get the bigger surprise. LOL.....the good old days.

Steve, no wonder you have a facination with fire. As a result I now have a 2000 gph pump and the pipes are cut and ready to glue. Hope to have pictures soon. Pictures of fish that are still alive, it is a good thing that they aren't grounded.
